Publication Ethics

JPIS (Jurnal Pengabdian Ibnu Sina) publishes original articles in the field of Community Service (PkM) that have not been previously published in other media. This publication ethics statement applies to all parties involved in the publishing process, including the publisher, editors, reviewers, and authors. JPIS upholds the principles of neutrality, fairness, and honesty by avoiding conflicts of interest, respecting authorship rights, and preventing plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and data duplication.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for determining journal policies, editorial boards, publication schedules, and journal quality improvement. The Editor-in-Chief also ensures publication sustainability, maintains confidentiality, upholds intellectual property rights, and oversees the ethical publication process.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for reviewing manuscripts objectively, improving the quality of publications, ensuring language and formatting standards, and maintaining fairness in the editorial process. Editors also coordinate revisions, provide constructive feedback to authors, and ensure that manuscripts are free from discriminatory or unethical content.

Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers provide objective, constructive, and unbiased evaluations of manuscripts based on scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal scope. Reviewers must maintain manuscript confidentiality and avoid personal criticism during the review process.

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, free from plagiarism, and have not been published elsewhere. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data, proper citation practices, and compliance with ethical standards in research and community service activities.
