ANALISA PENGENDALIAN PERSEDIAAN GRANITE MENGGUNAKAN METODE ABC STUDI KASUS PT.XYZ

Abstract

1. XYZ is a company located in the city of Batam, Riau Islands which operates in the building materials retail sector. The problem that the author encounters in the field is that the stock of granite is not well controlled, often the stock of granite that is frequently sold is not maintained, resulting in a decrease in sales of granite in shops. The reason is because the granite has not been grouped properly. The author aims to divide what classes of granite are most often sold in shops using the ABC analysis method in order to maintain stock availability of granite that is included in class A. ABC Analysis is an inventory control technique by paying attention to groups of goods according to the level of importance of each group of goods. ABC analysis divides inventory into three groups based on annual volume in dollar amounts. In ABC Analysis, goods are usually grouped into three classes, namely A, B, and C. Class A is a very important group of goods (largest sales value), class B is a group of goods with medium sales value, and class C is a group of goods with the smallest sales value. Based on analysis using the ABC method, the author obtained the results that each item has a difference in contributing to shop revenue.
