Analisis Pengendalian Kualitas Komponen Defect Dalam Proses Pre Delivery Inspection Menggunakan Seven Tools

Abstract

 PT SIB is a company that operates in the field of cutting metal (iron/steel) and medium and thick steel, which consists of cutting, beveling, press bending, press roll, machining, drilling and other iron processes for heavy equipment, automotive and industrial components.

This research aims to determine the factors that cause defects in components. To find out and analyze whether the quality control carried out can reduce component defects. This research is quantitative research which uses primary data in the form of departmental production work process flows, production systems, production methods, as well as the environment at the production site and component defect data. Where the data processing method uses seven tools starting from inspection sheets, fishbone charts, Pareto diagrams, control charts, scatter diagrams, flow diagrams and histograms.

The results of this research show that: (1) the factors that cause defect components can be identified by using a cause-and-effect diagram. As follows Human Factors, Material Factors, Environmental Factors Method Factors, Machine Factors (2) The company has implemented quality standards and has carried out quality control of components that will be sent to customers starting from receiving the steel material, the production process up to the pre-delivery inspection that will be sent. (3) Workers are expected to be more careful in prioritizing accuracy in carrying out work
