Plagiarism and Retraction Policy

The Editorial Board of JR: Jurnal Responsive Teknik Informatika recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and establishes the following policy outlining specific actions (penalties) upon identification of plagiarism or similarities in articles submitted for publication:

  1. Plagiarism Detection: JR: Jurnal Responsive Teknik Informatika utilizes iThenticate's originality checking software to detect similarities in article manuscripts and final version articles ready for publication. A maximum of 30% similarity index is allowed for submitted papers. If the similarity index exceeds 30%, the article will be returned to the author for correction and resubmission.
  2. Article Withdrawal: Article Withdrawal is applicable to Articles in Press, representing early versions of articles, which may contain errors or have been accidentally submitted twice. Withdrawal may also occur if articles infringe professional ethical codes, such as multiple submission, bogus claims of authorship, plagiarism, or fraudulent use of data. Withdrawn articles have their content (HTML and PDF) replaced with a notice stating the article has been withdrawn according to the journal's policy.
  3. Article Retraction: Retraction of articles occurs in cases of serious infringements of professional ethical codes, including multiple submission, bogus claims of authorship, plagiarism, or fraudulent use of data. A retraction note titled "Retraction: [article title]" signed by the authors and/or the editor is published in a subsequent issue of the journal. The original article is retained but marked as "retracted," and a link to the retraction note is provided.
  4. Article Removal: Legal Limitations: In extremely rare cases where an article is defamatory, infringes legal rights, poses a serious health risk, or is subject to a court order, it may be removed from the online database. In such cases, the article's metadata (title and authors) are retained, but the text is replaced with a notice indicating the article has been removed for legal reasons.
